Frequently asked
Does it work on Android and Windows?
Yes. The same Lekhdwar runs on Windows 10 / 11 PCs and on Android phones and tablets — same screens, same bills, same reports. Download both from the Download page; one website account logs in on both.
How does the office network work?
On the Network plan the main PC shares its data with 2 more PCs or phones on the same Wi-Fi. They find the main PC by themselves — no IP address to type — and every person logs in with their own user. If the main PC is switched off they keep billing on their own copy; when it is back the owner sees those entries and approves them.
What is the Cloud Backup add-on?
For any plan: the app keeps an online copy of your data and company details on lekhdwar.com, updated every few minutes when something changes (photos and logo stay on your device). You can see your bills, sales, stock and balances from any phone or browser under My account → Cloud, and if a PC is lost or broken, log in on the new one and restore in one click.
Which receipt printers work with Lekhdwar?
Any 58 mm or 80 mm thermal receipt printer that uses ESC/POS — connected by Bluetooth or Wi-Fi straight from Settings → Receipt printing, or any printer installed in Windows (USB). A4 and A5 bills print on normal printers.
Do I need internet to use Lekhdwar?
No. Billing, stock, payments and reports all work offline. Internet is needed only to log in the first time, to check your plan once in a while, for WhatsApp sending and for updates.
Where is my data kept?
On your own PC or phone. Lekhdwar also makes backups that you can copy to a pen drive, and with the Cloud Backup add-on an online copy as well.
How does the one-PC activation work?
When you log in on a computer, that computer is activated for your account. Your plan decides how many computers can be active at the same time.
I bought a new computer. What do I do?
Open My account on this website, press Reset next to the old PC, then install Lekhdwar on the new PC and log in. Take a backup from the old PC first to bring your data along.
How do updates work?
Lekhdwar checks for updates by itself, downloads them quietly and shows a small “Restart & update” button. Your data is never touched by an update.
What happens when my plan ends?
You get reminders before the date. Renew from My account in a minute — the time is added on top of what is left.
Can I get a GST invoice for my purchase?
Yes. Every payment gives you a bill in My account → Bills & renewals, ready to print or save as PDF.
